Details for Aonach Beag (Ossain)

Aonach Beag is a remote munro that is sits on the south-western half of a elongated, evelated ridge between Loch Ossian to Loch Pattack. Aonach Beag has three well-defined ridges converging at the summit to form a triangular looking peak. The south ewesterly ridge archs round to meet Beinn Eibhinn via a col (970 metres) which is usually climbed in the same outings. There's a short ridge on the east which links to the munro Geal-Charn (Alder region) via a high col at 1000 metres thus continuing to the north-eastern section of the ridge.

Access is usually via the largest ridge running north westerly upto to the crags of Meall Nathrach from where more gentle slopes head down to the An Lairig and into Glen Spean.

Aonach Beag is a steeply sided hill on all sides but levels to a small plateau on the summit and is marked with a cairn with the north eastern slopes being craggy.
