Beinn a' Chaorainn [Loch Laggan] is a munro in Scotand and is located in the area Glen Roy to Monadhliath as defined by SMC

(and lies in region known as Loch Laggan )

Beinn a' Chaorainn is a south to north elongated mountain which rises above the forestry to the north of Loch Laggin. The ridge along the mountain contains 3 peaks all roughly the same height of which the central one is the true summit and marked as munro status. The best feature of Beinn a' Chaorainn are the eastern flanks which form a line of steep rocky corrie which rise dramatically above the Allt na h-Uamha below. All other slopes or more of less featureless.

On the western side of Beinn a' Chaorainn is the munro Beinn Teallach which is usually climbed on the same outing via the north western nose descending to a col marked with a small cairn around NN37068674 (600m).

Usual access to this peak is from the road near Roughburn on A86 road via a path which leads up through forest area up onto the southern top. Alternatively by climbing Beinn Teallach and gain access via the high col onto the northern top.
