The south western ridge is of interest as it joins the neighbouring munro Stuc a' Chroin< by Bealach an Dubh Choirein.
Ben Vorlich usually climbed from Ardvorlich to the north which give the best access via a path leading up Glen Vorlich, and then onto the rocky northern ridge. Alternatively, access from Glen Ample and onto Bealach an Dubh Choirein where the summit can be accessed via the south-east .
From the summit there are good views over Loch Earn to the north, and to the south west Stuc a' Chroin's< main feature it's steep north-east facing cliff face with impressive rocky buttress rising dramatically above Bealach an Dubh Choirein.
