Bidein a'Ghlas Thuill is the highest peak on An Teallach which is one of the most impressive of Scotland’s mountains on mainland Britain situated to the south-west of Dundonnell, in an area often nicknamed the "great wilderness". It stands on the northern end of a 5km ridge which is much indented and throws out three spurs which enclose two splendid corries this ridge is best viewed from the Road of Desolation NH138792
On the south of Bidein a'Ghlas Thuill the ridge from Sgurr Fiona arching to Glas Mheall Liath forms one of the most magnificent corries in Scotland Toll an Lochain with pinnacles encircling it dramatically from above . The mountain is mainy formed from Torridonian sandstone and it's north eastern slopes down to Meall Garbh have sand dune like places.

The best feature of Bidein a'Ghlas Thuill by far is known as Corrag Bhuide the section which rises above Loch Toll an Lochain with the well known overhanging pinnacle known as Lord Berkley's Seat.

Access is usually from the path up the north eastern ridge of Meall Garbh stating from Dundonnell. Following the path into the corrie and then climb steeply onto the top Sròn a Choire (863m) NH06638514 where access to the summit point is easily reached. Alternatively the whole traverse of the An Teallach mountain range can be traversed either from Dundonnell or Corrie Halle taking in the whole of the ridge. This can be a serious expedition if done in winter due to the pinnacled ridge.

From the summit of Bidein a'Ghlas Thuill the view gives us a great impression of The Fisherfield Six group of hills on the south east, the Fannaich's on the south west, The Deargs to the east, & over over Little Loch Broom to the north.
