Mountain Description for Carn a'Chlamhain
Carn a'Chlamhain is a munro in Scotand and is located in the area The West Mounth: Blair Atholl to Braemar as defined by SMC
(and lies in region known as Atholl )This is not Chlamain as misspelled on the current map but Carn a'Chlamhain. Carn a'Chlamhain lies on the north side of the scenic Glen Tilt and is the highest of a group of peaks thus making it munro status.
The summit of Càrn a' Chlamain is a prominent boulder covered dome rising up from the surrounding moorland.
Usual access starts at Forest Lodge in Glen Tilt where a stalker's path climbs the steep south western side in a succession of zig-zags before crossing the plateau to the summit. As there is no public vehicular access to Forest Lodge the 10 kilometres from Old Blair can been undertaken on foot or bicycle. Alternatively access via the southeastern ridge.
