Details for Liathach - Mullach an Rathain
Mullach an Rathain lies on the west of Liathach's main ridge linked to the Liathach - Spidean a' Choire Leith< (the other munro) via a succession of shattered pinnacles over Am Fasarinen that take up over half the 7km long Liathach.
By any standards Liathach is one of Scotland's finest mountains and is a dramatic ridge containing 6 peaks, it forms a great sandstone fortress dominating the lower reaches of Glen Torridon.
The finest feature of Mullach an Rathain is it's north eastern spur that leads to Meall Dearg and the northern pinnacles. This aside Mullach an Rathain can be approached or descended from all sides.
