Mayar is an munro in Scotand and is located in the area Glen Shee to Mount Keen as defined by SMC (and lies in region known as Glen Clova )

Mayar is a munro in the Mounth plateau overlooking Glen Doll rising to a height of 928m (3045 feet).
The most impressive part of the hill is it's fine corrie "Corrie Fee" which opens out on the south side of Glen Doll to form a wide amphitheatre.

Access is to summit is normally via a path from Shank of Drumfollow which connects to Driesh which is usually climbed as well. The 3km walk from Driesh - Mayar takes only an hour as you only drop about 140 metres in height between them. Alternative access is via Corrie Fee where a path leads up this impressive corrie to the south of a great waterfall where you can reach the plateau to reach the Mayar summit point.

The closeness of Mayar & Driesh to the city of Dundee makes them popular munros with locals; in many ways making them the Dundonian equivalent to Ben Lomond near Glasgow.
