Details for Sgurr nan Conbhairean
Sgurr nan Conbhairean rises to the north of Loch Cluanie and is situated on the south side of the eastern section of an arching ridge overlooking the loch collectively known as the Five Sisters of Kintail<. It doesn't look very dramatic from the A87 below as the summit point is hidden and the southern side corries are pretty featureless.
Sgurr nan Conbhairean's summit is marked with a small carn on the edge of some cliffs to the east. To the north of the summit spurs a narrow ridge which connects to Sail Chaorainn<, to the south east Carn Ghluasaid< is linked via the peak Creag a' Chaorainn from "Glas Bealach". Both Sail Chaorainn< & Carn Ghluasaid< are also munro status and usually climbed on the same days outing or more peaks of the Kintail Horseshoe.
Access is usually via the southern ridge from Strath Clunnie following Allt Coire Lair up to Drochaid an Tuill Easaich and onto Sgurr nan Conbhairean's summit. Alternatively the summit can be reached from Carn Ghluasaid<'s ridge climbed first from Lundie via the south-western spurr.
The views from Sgurr nan Conbhairean are superb in every direction on a clear day especially north to Glen Affric< and beyond.
The number of registered munro-madness users who have climbed Sgurr nan Conbhairean is Twenty-Four
