Stob a'Choire Mheadhoin is one of two mountains jointly known as “The Easains” or “The Stob Coires” taking the name from the higher munro which is Stob Coire Easain, and is a munro peak situated to the west of Loch Treig which rises to 1105m (3625 feet). It contains a long ridge (8km) called Meall Cian Dearg which leads to its stony summit point. There are several steep corries on the eastern side of the mountain which give Loch Treig a fiord-like appearance.
A ridge from the summit of Stob a'Choire Mheadhoin dops to a high col (960m) which connects to the mountains twin peak Stob Coire Easain , and are usually climbed together.
Usual access is from the small hamlet and then ascend along the long ridge ( Meall Cian Dearg) and onto the summit. An alternative ascent can be made from Corrour railway station utilising the West Highland Railway.
