Details for Tom a'Choinich

Tom a'Choinich is one of the easy munros to reach in Glen Affric< lying on the eastern end of the huge chain of mountains on the north side of the glen. The munro has quite a distinctive outline with 4 ridges converging to form pyramidal shaped summit and a big east facing corrie gives it a excellent appearance via Glen Affric.

The eastern ridge which is narrow leads down to a Bealach Toll Easa (872 metres) which was once a well used crossing betwen Glen Cannich and Glen Affric< and continuing leads to the munro Toll Creagach< .

The usual ascent is via the south eastern ridge which is quite rocky and narrow higher up. This leads down to Bealach Toll Easa where stalker paths lead to Glen Cannich and Glen Affric.
