Four km west of the Bridge of Balgie in Glen Lyon a small road lead up to the dam on the east side of Loch an Daimh from where Meall Buidhe can be climbed easily as the dam is at a height of 430 metres.

Climb directly up the southern side of Meall Buidhe on steep grassy slopes to Meall a' Phuill (878 metres) marked by 2 cairns. Continue west then north past some small cairns to reach the summit. The munro Stuchd an Lochain can be claimed whilst you are here.
