This route tackles 2 granite formed munros which rise prominently at the head of Loch Etive.

Start from the road in Glen Etive around NN13634685 , following the private road crossing over the Estate road bridge and then heading south-west past Coileiter eventualy comming to a bridge that crosses the Allt Mheuran. After crossing the bridge continue along the west bank until you reach the bottom of Ben Starav's long north eastern ridge which must be climbed and is a hard ascent. Eventually this leads onto the summit which is littered with granite boulders & slabs. From the summit to climb Glas Bheinn Mhor head south east taking the top Stob Coire Dheirg and then descend onto Bealachan Lochain Ghaineamhaich then traverce another minor top finally onto a rocky ridge before the summit. To descend head east from the summit of Glas Bheinn Mhor (don't head north as steep) until a bealach is reached and then drop down grassy slopes to the north into Coire Odhar and then follow the Allt Mheuran down on an intermittent path.
