The Ben Lawers group dominates the north western site of Loch Tay and contains seven munros linked by a twisting 12km ridge where no point drops below 780m. The whole range is the largest massif in all of the southern highlands only The Carn Mairg Range (Glen Lyon Horseshoe) at the eastern end of Glen Lyon can equal it in area if not height.

Ben Lawers group is one of the most popular mountains in the south highlands with easy access to the hills from the Lochan na Lairige road which reaches a height of 550m and no access restictions with the ownership by The National Trust for Scotland. There is a information centre & car park around NN608378 where the "tourist route" to the mountains start.
