These 6 munros which are situated to the North of Loch Maree collectively known as the "Fisherfield Six" are the remotest in Scotland only Seana Bhraigh & Lurg Mhor can rival them. All ascents of these munros involve long days outing and walkers need to be very fit to tackle them.

There are four points of access to these hills Corrie Hallie Nr. Dundonnell from the north, Poolewe from the west, Loch a' Bhraoin from the east and Kinlochewe from the south-east. For Munro Baggers this group of mountains have some logistical problems like river crossings and remoteness. To complete them all it is recommended to stay in the bothy at Shenavall whrere all them can be accessed. However, the bothy gets very busy in early summer months so it is recommended to take a tent anyway.

If heavy rain falls while you are out bagging these Munros it may be impossible to return to Shenavall, as rivers in these areas rise very quickly in heavy rain.
