Details for: Loch Treig
Loch Treig is a long, south - north running narrow freshwater loch which resembles a Norwegian Fyord. The loch has 2 munros on both the western and eastern shores with the western side being the more dramatic side.
The munros in this region are usually split into two days climbing Stob a'Choire Mheadoin & Stob Coire Easain on the west and Stob Coire Sgriodain & Chno Dearg on the east both starting from the tiny hamlet Fersit.
Fersit lies at the top of Loch Treig, the railway line to Fort William passes close by and there is a weather station & phone box.
