Details for: Monar

The huge uninhabited wilderness which sites between Glen Sheil & Glen Carron contains some of the wildest remote munros in the west highland and munros except Moruisg rise on the western end of Loch Monar. They form a great arc around the head of Loch Monar from Lurg Mhor on the south-west round to Maoile Lunndaidh on the north eastern side.

All peaks around here a best left for long summer days as all are very remote and require long approaches to reach any. Camping or a overnight stay in Maol Bhuidhe Bothy which overlooks Loch Cruoshie around NH052359 will shorten distance covered in a day.
