Details for: The Fannaichs
The Fannaichs form a long chain of peaks around the north of Loch Fannaich which are also pretty compact. For hillwalkers the accessible corries & long ridges contrast with Loch Maree Loch Broom area making longer expeditions possible.
The long smooth ridges that link the Fannaich summits give excellent walking and are ideally suited to long traverses apart from the isolated Fionn Bheinn to the south. It's possible to climb the nine northern munros in a single long days outing.
It's no longer possible to drive along the private rood from Grundie Bridge to Fannich Lodge also the approach from this side is longer and less popular. The majority of people choose to climb the area from the north where there is easier access.
