Meall Dearg and Sgorr nam Fiannaidh

Aonach Eagach is a route in “The Glen Coe” region / range which is located in the Strath Orchy to Loch Leven area of the Scottish Highlands as defined by the Scottish Mountaineering Club.

This is a route between two seperate points

The Aonach Eagach ridge is situated on the north side of Glen Coe, and is a demanding route involving scrambling over a series of pinnacles perched on top of the narrowest ridge in mainland Britain.

The ridge walk gives a thrilling and excellent traverse for keen scramblers, joining the two Munros of Meall Dearg and Sgorr nam Fiannaidh.

The slopes to each side are extremely dangerous, with steep grass and scree slopes hiding even steeper slopes which end in cliffs on both north and south sides of the ridge.
