The Cuillin, Bruach na Frithe is one of 3 major peaks on the northern section.
Just by Alltdearg House, which is just 600m west of Sligachan take the private road to which bypasses the house. Follow the path along the north western bank of the Allt Dearg Mor towards the Bealach a' Mhaim (this is the pass between Sligachan & Glen Brittle). Then at about 300m and marked by a cairn head into Fionn Choire and head up the north west ridge of Bruach na Frithe onto the summit which is marked with a trig point.
Descend via a traverse over Sgurr a' Fionn dropping to Bealach nan Lice (possible crossing point of the Cuillin Ridge between Am Bastier and Sgurr a' Fionn Choire.) where the descent can be made to the north west into Fionn Choire over bolders onto grassy slopes marked with cairns to rejoin ascent route.

This is by far the most popular ascent. Alternatively the south ridge via Sgurr na Bhairnich gives an exhilarating ascent with short sections of scrambling.
The summit is one of the best viewpoints in the Cuillin. Though far from the highest peak in the range, it is the only one to have an Ordnance Survey pillar - probably due to the difficulties of many of the other peaks.
Like the rest of the range it is composed of gabbro, a rock with excellent grip for mountaineering.]]>Summit850Waypoint935Dot850Waypoint840Waypoint820Waypoint750Waypoint700Waypoint650Waypoint600Waypoint500Waypoint350Waypoint300Waypoint250Dot200Dot120Dot70Dot50Waypoint50Waypoint20Waypoint20Trail Head50Waypoint50Waypoint70Dot120Dot200Dot250Dot300Waypoint310Waypoint330Waypoint400Waypoint470Waypoint500Waypoint600Waypoint700Waypoint730Waypoint770Waypoint850Waypoint904Waypoint958Am Bastier and Sgurr a' Fionn Choire.
