The route covers 4 munros overlooking the head of Glen Clunie and are very accessible being accessed via the A93 road just a few km from the Cairnwell Pass.

From the car park head over to the Cairnwell Burn and the follow the Allt a' Gharbh-coire east for about a km then continue along path which lead around the northern flanks of Carn an Tuirc eventually reaching and old ruined wooden hut. From here climb steeply onto stony summit point. Head easterly over boulders then contour south easterly over a grassy ridge form 1.5km where the summit of Cairn of Claise is reached. From here head easily over grassy slopes east north east onto col from where a wide shoulder leads onto the munro Tolmount summit. Retrace track breifly heading for the stream which separates Tolmount & Tom Buidhe, after a short climb from here we can reach Tom Buidhe's rounded summit point.

To get back we need to head due west over Ca Whims then contour back south westerly back to the slopes of Cairn of Claise aiming for a southern spur which leads onto a satellite top Sron na Gaoithe. Once reaching Sron na Gaoithe a descent can be made north west into Glen Clunie and the A93 road.
