Sgurr na Banachdich is a fine peak which possibly the easiest peak to climb in the Cuillin Hills situated at the head of Coire na Banachdish where the ascent is made.
Start from Glen Brittle and follow the path up the spectacular waterfall Eas Mor where you follow the less obvious path south of the Allt Coire na Banachdich. The headwall of the corrie is made of slabs & cliffs and this is the easiest pass between Glen Brittle - Loch Coruisk. From the pass climb directly the south ridge of Sgurr na Banachdich over the 2 tops which invovles scrambling which is exposed in places.
Descent is made west-north-west along an easier wide stony slope which leads to the meeting of Sgurr nan Gobhar and An Diallaid ridges. The slope down is quite featureless but is marked with cairns which help navigation in tricky weather conditions. From the head of Coir an Eich descend on grassy slopes down directly to the youth hostel below which leaves a 10 minute walk to the starting point.
