Lawers Range - Meall Ghaordaidh (3409 feet)

See video
Description

Lawers Range - Meall Ghaordaidh (3409 feet)

Friday 27th August 2010 and time to get my munro count up to 32! An easy single on the cards for today. Drove straight from work to Killin, on the end of Loch Tay, where you take the private road into Glen Lochay. Keep following that and then it is obvious where to park as there is a big green sign pointing the way to the mountain. An easy walk up through a cow field, over a style and then up the long shoulder of the mountain. Your shoes will get wet here, as its very peat boggy. It eventually gets a bit more interesting near the rocky top. The views on the way up are on Ben Vorlich and Stuc A Chroin, and the Tarmachan Ridge with Ben Lawers and his merry munros behind. At the top, the view is expansive, look down Glen Lyon to the Bridge of Orchy Hills and GlenCoe/GlenEtive hills.
